My mum came home from shopping and went out to see the girls and did a little poop picking and found it all alone in the nest box. Well Done Hen - whoever you are!
Isn't it lovely when they start producing! We started to weigh each egg every day. Our speckled hen, Penny, seems to lay the largest. One of hers weighed over 90gms once. It was a whopper. Needless to say it had a double yolk. Penny tried to limbo under the gate to the veg patch yesterday. I can foresee trouble....
